Philadelphia Marcom Veteran Joins Star Group
Philadelphia, PA, November 30, 2011 - Linda Rosanio, CEO of Star Group, the Philadelphia region’s largest independent marketing communications agency, announced that Steve Albertini has joined the firm as Managing Partner, Strategic Initiatives.
Albertini will play a key role in both client and new business initiatives and significantly expand Star’s crisis and issues management practice. In addition, he will spearhead the agency’s new training and development program.
Before joining Star, Albertini headed his own consultancy, The Albertini Group. Previously, he was Executive Vice President and Director of Public Relations for Tierney Communications, Philadelphia. Earlier in his career, he was president of Earle Palmer Brown, Philadelphia.

Albertini has been an active leader in the public relations industry and has won numerous accolades. In 2004, PRWeek named him one of America’s top crisis managers. In addition, The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) recognized Albertini with its Chapter Banner Award, as the most effective chapter president in the country. He is one of only two Philadelphia leaders ever to receive this PRSA honor in 60 years.
