About the Job:
Star Group has an immediate opening for a full-time PHP/MySQL web developer with 3-5 years of experience developing websites and web applications. Candidate must possess a strong command of PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML and CSS. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to posses a strong understanding of object-oriented programming, the MVC design pattern, and presentation layer concepts such as CSS-driven page layout. The ideal candidate understands cutting edge approaches to websites and code architecture and is comfortable handling tight deadlines while building object-oriented, semantic code.

Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day website operations and technical fixes
Maintain and build PHP/MySQL web applications.
Design, code, and test technical solutions
Server LAMP Stack Management
Identify system deficiencies and recommends solutions

Requirements and Experience:

3-5 years of experience required.
Must be comfortable working on the command line.
Ability to operate a multi-server structure utilizing the LAMP stack.
Strong understanding of the MVC Concept
Integration and understanding of new web techniques and web innovation
Understand the necessity of coding standards
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite products including Adobe Photoshop
Proven ability to deliver projects on time with aggressive timelines
Strong English written and verbal communication skills
Experience working with version control
