Steve is the Managing Partner, President, Public Relations for @The_Star_Group. A seasoned public relations professional with more than 25 years of experience, Steve has worked with some of the region’s and the nation’s leading businesses and organizations including DuPont, Astra Zeneca, United Healthcare, General Mills, ARAMARK, Sprint PCS, SunGard Availability Services, Susan G. Komen Philadelphia, Cozen O’Connor, Beneficial Bank, Preferred Hotels Worldwide and McDonald’s, just to name a few.
Steve also has a strong background in crisis and issues management for a diverse group of clients including those in the financial and professional services, business-to-business, chemical, manufacturing, utility, real estate, health care, non-profit and retail sectors.
After starting his career as an editor for a children’s book publisher and later an online news distribution service, Josh became a QA Analyst for Razorfish Philadelphia in 2005. He gained an interest in Search after offering to edit the Razorfish Search newsletter his first year in QA. Josh became a full-time SEO Copywriter in 2006 after a year of Search Marketing training and education. By 2008, he was creating content strategies, writing and optimizing for clients such as Aetna, Johnson & Johnson, DePuy, NWA, Disney, and many others.
In 2010, Josh brought his talents to @The_Star_Group as a Search Marketing Manager, where he works on client sites to provide search engine optimization (SEO) and helps manage content and content strategies. Josh is also Google AdWords and Analytics certified, and manages Paid Search accounts for Star in addition to his SEO duties.
Michael is an Emerging Media Account Executive for the Star Group. A self-admitted consumer research nerd (qualitative & quantitative) and emerging tech aficionado, his skills lie within the confines of strategic planning, ideation, tactical implementation and measurement, which he applies to the following digital disciplines:
- Social and Emerging Media
- Search Engine Marketing
- Web Development
Michael is also a passionate and tenacious Internet entrepreneur who has an unclassifiable hunger when it comes to business creation and development. He never takes no for an answer, loves a good challenge and like the old saying goes “if there is a will there is a way” and you better believe Michael will find it.
Ryan is an Associate Emerging Media Producer for the Star Group. He graduated from Drexel University in 2007 and started his career at The Star Group. A futurist at heart, Ryan has always been on the edge of emerging technologies (business and consumer). He specializes in humanizing new tech and applying it to current projects.
Ryan enjoys good food, fine wine and smooth Mobile Application UI’s; which is why he’ll always jump on the chance to build a User Journey or mock up mobile application.
Anson is a developer at The Star Group. He joined the company in June 2011 and brings with him a variety of career experiences in project management, training, database architecture, web development and design, and search engine optimization. Anson is passionate about:
- taking ideas from concept to reality,
- adhering to coding standards,
- delivering quality results, and
- helping organizations achieve their goals.
When he's not coding our latest projects in Drupal, Silverstripe, or ASP.NET, Anson contributes to improving our workflow standards and helping Digital Project Managers with schedules, end-user training, and analysis of statistics about website performance and digital marketing campaigns. In addition, Anson keeps our teams current in digital trends by compiling news and developments, as well as training and career development opportunities on his blog, Digital Trends To Stay On Top Of.
Outside of Star, Anson works with A+ Test Prep & Tutoring as an SAT Test Prep, ACT Test Prep, and academic tutor as well as a study skills coach. His work with students of all ages and backgrounds has reflected in his amicable personality and the multi-faceted contributions he has made at both Star and former employers.
